IFGICT Fellowship
The Pinnacle of Professional Recognition in Information & Communication Technology
The Fellowship of the International Federation of Green & Information Communication Technology (IFGICT) represents our highest level of professional membership. It is awarded to senior executives, distinguished researchers, technology innovators, and industry leaders who have demonstrated exceptional impact, leadership, and commitment to the advancement and sustainability of global ICT.
1. Prerequisites & Eligibility Criteria
To maintain the prestige and standards of the Fellowship, applicants or nominees must meet the following baseline requirements:
- Professional Standing: Minimum 10 to 15 years of progressive responsibility and proven leadership in ICT, digital transformation, telecommunications, or related engineering/scientific fields.
- Demonstrated Impact: Evidence of pioneering contributions—such as enterprise-scale technology deployments, published peer-reviewed research, patented innovations, sustainable IT initiatives, or national-level policy advisement.
- Commitment to Ethics & Sustainability: A proven track record of upholding high ethical standards and supporting green technology initiatives.
2. Fellowship Pathways
Candidates may enter the Fellowship program through two official routes:
Track A: Direct Application
Designed for senior professionals who wish to submit their credentials directly to the Fellowship Admissions Committee for evaluation.
Track B: Peer Nomination
Designed for distinguished individuals nominated by an existing IFGICT Fellow, a university department head, or a corporate c-suite executive.
3. The 5-Step Evaluation & Admission Process
Step 1: Dossier Submission & Application Processing Fee
Applicants submit a complete Fellowship Dossier along with a $100 USD non-refundable Application Processing Fee. The dossier must contain:
- 1- Executive Biography & Detailed CV highlighting major achievements and milestones.
- 2 - Impact Portfolio: Documentation supporting key contributions (e.g., patents, publications, enterprise project references, awards).
- 3 - Professional References: Contact details for two (2) professional references (senior industry peers, academic directors, or current IFGICT Fellows) who can vouch for the candidate’s contributions.
Step 2: Compliance & Document Verification
The IFGICT Secretariat reviews the dossier to verify academic credentials, employment history, and reference authenticity within 5–7 business days.
Step 3: Peer-Review by the Fellowship Admissions Committee
The dossier is forwarded to the IFGICT Fellowship Admissions Committee—an independent panel composed of senior Fellows and Regional VPs. The committee evaluates candidates on:
- Thought Leadership & Innovation: Depth and originality of contributions to ICT.
- Industry & Societal Influence: Scale of impact across organizations or regions.
- Alignment with ICT: Contributions toward sustainable, efficient digital practices.
Step 4: Notification of Outcome
Candidates are formally notified of the Committee’s decision:
- Approved: An official Letter of Election to Fellowship is issued.
- Deferred: Candidates may be requested to provide supplementary documentation or recommended for Senior Member status prior to re-applying.
Step 5: Formal Dues Settlement & Induction
Upon receiving the official approval notice, candidates complete their formal acceptance by paying the $199 USD Annual Fellowship Membership Fee to activate their Fellowship status, receive digital credentials, and join the official directory.
4. Fee Structure & Investment
To preserve academic and professional integrity, evaluation fees are kept completely separate from annual membership dues.
| Payment Stage | Amount | Description | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Step 1: Application Fee | $100 USD | Covers administrative background checks, credential verification, and committee review. | Non-Refundable |
| Step 5: Annual Fellowship Dues | $199 USD | Payable only upon formal approval. Maintains your active Fellow status, voting rights, global registry entry, and post-nominal privileges (IFGICT). | Annual Renewal |
5. Governance & Ethics
Fellowship Admissions Committee: All admission decisions are governed by an independent panel of peer Fellows to ensure objective, merit-based selection.
Code of Ethics: Fellows agree to abide by the IFGICT Professional Code of Conduct, championing ethical technology implementation, cyber safety, and environmental responsibility.
Maintenance of Status: Active Fellowship status and post-nominal designations (IFGICT) are maintained through ongoing professional activity and annual membership dues ($199/year).
