IFGICT Payment, Subscription, and Refund Policy

This policy outlines the terms and conditions for payments related to IFGICT (International Federation of Global & Green Information and Communication Technology) memberships, fellowships, and online professional/certifications.

1. General Payment Policy

1.1 Accepted Payment Methods: IFGICT accepts payments primarily through PayPal and major Credit/Debit Cards. All transactions are processed via secure online payment gateways.

1.2 Currency: All stated fees are typically in US Dollars (USD) unless otherwise specified.

1.3 Commissioning and Third-Party Fees: IFGICT is not responsible for any commissioning, transaction fees, currency conversion charges, or any other additional costs imposed by the member’s or fellow’s financial institution, credit card issuer, or PayPal for the payment of IFGICT services. The full published fee must be received by IFGICT.

2. Annual Membership and Fellowship Subscription Policy

2.1 Subscription Basis: Payment for annual membership and fellowship is on a renewal basis. By completing the initial subscription, the member or fellow agrees to an annual subscription structure.

2.2 Automatic Renewal: Subscriptions are typically set up for automatic annual renewal via the original payment method (PayPal or Credit Card) to ensure continuous benefits and accreditation.

2.3 Cancellation and Loss of Benefits:

  • A member or fellow may choose to cancel their subscription renewal at any time through their PayPal account or by contacting IFGICT customer service prior to the renewal date.
  • Any cancellation of the annual membership or fellowship will lead to the loss of accreditation, official status, and all associated membership/fellowship benefits in the following year (upon the expiry date of the current paid term). No prorated refund will be provided for the current year’s payment.

2.4 Re-activation After Cancellation:

  • If an annual renewal is canceled by the credit card holder or PayPal account owner (either manually or by disputing a charge), IFGICT will be unable to automatically reactivate the renewal for the subsequent year.
  • To restore membership or fellowship after a cancellation, the individual must initiate a new manual payment process in the following year. This process may be subject to prevailing membership/fellowship rates at that time and may require a new application review.

3. Purchase of Online Professional / Certifications Policy

3.1 Payment for Certifications: Payment for online professional certifications grants access to the course materials and the examination according to the specific certification terms.

3.2 Certification Completion: Successful payment and completion of all certification requirements (including passing the examination) will lead to the awarding of the official IFGICT certification.

4. Refund Policy (Applicable to Memberships, Fellowships, and Certifications)

4.1 General No-Refund Policy: All payments for annual memberships, fellowships, and online professional/certifications are generally non-refundable. Access to digital materials, services, and the commencement of the certification process are granted immediately upon payment, and services are considered rendered at that point.

4.2 Exceptions for Certification Purchases (Limited Refund Consideration):

  • A refund may be considered only if the certification purchase was made in error AND the user has not accessed any of the online course materials, downloaded any documents, or started the examination process.
  • Any request for a refund must be submitted in writing to IFGICT customer service within seven (7) calendar days of the payment date.
  • If an exception is granted, the refund will be processed back to the original payment method (PayPal or Credit Card). As stated in Section 1.3, the refunded amount will be the net amount received by IFGICT, and IFGICT is not responsible for any original payment commissioning or third-party fees lost or not returned by the payment processor or financial institution.

4.3 No Refund on Membership/Fellowship Cancellation: As stated in Section 2.3, canceling a membership or fellowship will only prevent future renewals and will not result in a refund for the current year of benefits.

4.4 Disputed Payments: Any chargeback or payment dispute initiated by the member or fellow through PayPal or their credit card issuer that is not first approved by IFGICT’s refund policy will be considered a material breach of this policy and will lead to immediate and irrevocable suspension and cancellation of the membership, fellowship, or certification without refund.

By submitting payment to IFGICT, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to this Payment, Subscription, and Refund Policy.
